Mirror in the Bath(room) On foot and looking, returning the gaze of the city.
Walknow, (dis)enchanted walking arts. Bath
9:30am - 3pm
• What we'll do
This is a shortish walk from the river out into the country and back. Approx 7 miles. No swimming! We begin and end at the old canal bridge outside the Locksbrook Inn, formerly the much loved Dolphin. Exploring spaces that city visitors rarely visit and discovering the views and open spaces enjoyed by those who have helped generate the city's wealth. Walking will give us an opportunity to reflect on all this, to decipher boundaries and feel the elements. Moments to stop and talk, sketch, write, reflect; time to be with our thoughts in the sounds around us, to be bodies alive. A moment on the hill being the eyes in the mirror.
• What to bring
Please bring water and snacks. Bring notebooks, mobiles, camera, sketchbooks etc. There will be a pubstop or farmshop stop. Please wear suitable footwear and bring weather protection. I will update on weather and walking conditions.
