The Great Game is a daily exciting Treasure Hunt that you do on your own time when ever you want around the beautiful City of Bath. Upon purchasing your ticket please email info@ggtreasurehunts.com to redeem. There a different tickets for different groups of people. 
Single route - for 1-2 people or 3-4 people is great for seeing the sights and using your brain.
Once the ticket is redeemed via email your treasure hunt pack will be mailed out to you so please provided your address in your email. Each pack includes discount wrist bands for each player, a clipboard, a real compass, a map, the clues sheet, a prize sheet, a brief history of Bath and a pen.
Let us know the time you wish to begin your hunt and we will book you a table at the finishing "Treasure" a historic Bath Pub steeped in History, where you will 20% off your food and drink bill.
The Hunt starts at Bath Train Station and takes roughly 2-3 hours to complete, solving clues and riddles and puzzles as you wind through Bath viewing the sites of the city and trying to find the "Treasure" - The pub, where you simply show your Treasure Hunt wrist band to the staff to get your 20% discount on your food and drink bill.
You will be sure to have a fantastic half day or evening out!
Focus Group - Recruitment of a new Vice-Chancellor

The Committee on the Office of Vice-Chancellor is keen to engage as many people as possible in determining the context and requirements for the recruitment exercise. This will include a survey, letters to external stakeholders and a range of focus groups for staff and students. These 1 hour discussions will enable small groups to express and discuss their views and give the Committee feedback on what will be required of the next Vice-Chancellor of this University.
This set of focus group dates are open to all staff and students. The session on 9th February is at the Virgil Building.

Hello there person reading this!

We've all been there on meetup - there's a new event that looks a bit out of our comfort zone, so we read the description, go 'that's a bit scary' or 'I'm not sure that's for me' - and leave it there.

Or maybe we sign up, but then let 'any excuse' mean we don't actually go? It's raining, I'm tired, that DVD box set won't watch itself?

But why not actually TRY it?

This is a class for all levels - some of us are beginners, while others have more experience, but everyone is welcome. It consists of games and scenes all improvised by the people that come along.

Sometimes it ends up a bit mad but other times you can be surprised by the theatre that comes out of nowhere. We start off every class with warm ups and progress depending upon how we all feel, and mostly just have a laugh with a few drinks.

There is no pressure to perform first time, so if you want to just watch, see what we are about and how the classes run that's fine too.

At the moment we have rotating hosts, so you get the benefit of different teaching styles and a mixture of exercises and games.

The classes run every MONDAY 7-9pm, at The St. James Wine Vaults (upstairs), which is just behind Royal Crescent.

There are a number of people who attend through Facebook rather than Meetup, so even if the numbers signed up on Meetup look low the class will still definitely be on, and we normally have around 7-12 people attending.

There is also plentiful free street parking on nearby Julian Road and Weston Road, or in the park.

Please note there is a voluntary £2 donation towards room costs, though your first time is FREE!

EXPLORING WHAT MATTERS
An 8-week course that gives you the chance to meet friendly, like-minded people and find simple ways to make yourself and others happy.

This course will run on Mondays from 12-2 on the following dates: 19 Feb, 26 Feb, 5 Mar, 12 Mar, 19 Mar, 26 Mar, 2nd Apr, 9 Apr
The course is run by local volunteers and based on donations - so please feel free to give whatever you can afford :)

ABOUT THE COURSE
Exploring What Matters is a secular, science-based course for people who want to learn how to live happily and spread happiness to those around them.
It was created by the Action for Happiness charity to help people tune in to what really matters in life, connect with people around them and find small ways to start taking action.
On the course you will:


Meet with like-minded people to explore what really matters in life and find new ways of looking at things.


Enjoy expert videos, mindfulness exercises and a handbook full of resources to help you break big ideas into manageable chunks.


Take time each week to think of small actions you can take to create happiness for yourself and those around you.


People find it really valuable and often refer to what they learn on the course as life-changing.

Each week is based around a big question:
Week 1: What really matters in life? We'll explore whether a greater focus on happiness and wellbeing might be better for all of us.
Week 2: What actually makes us happy? We'll explore the role of outer circumstances and inner attitudes in our wellbeing.
Week 3: Can we find peace of mind? We'll explore some of the skills and practices that can help us in difficult times.
Week 4: How should we treat others? We'll explore how to treat others and how we can become more compassionate.
Week 5: What makes for great relationships? We'll explore how our relationship to others impacts our own happiness.
Week 6: Can we be happier at work? We'll explore what makes us happy at work and what can we do about it.
Week 7: Can we build happier communities? We'll explore how to create communities that are more caring, connected and happy.
Week 8: How can we create a happier world? We'll explore how to live in a way that contributes to a happier world, not just for ourselves but for others too.

WHO THE COURSE IS FOR
This course is for anyone interested in exploring how to create happiness for themselves or others.
Maybe you’re someone who could do with some new approaches to try out in your own life.
Or maybe you’re passionate about creating happier communities and a happier world.
Either way, by coming together with others locally on this course you can find the inspiration and support you need find the actions that work for you.
Please note: this course is not group therapy, if you are experiencing severe challenges at the moment we recommend seeking alternative professional support.

HOW IT WORKS
The course is run by keen volunteers who are stepping forward to help spread happiness in the local area.
Everyone who joins the course makes a donation of their choice to be there.
It costs Action for Happiness about £90 per person to support each course so we ask all participants to give whatever they can to support themselves and others.
You can give as Supporter (£120) or give the Standard (£90) if you are able, otherwise please give whatever donation works for you - even if you can only give £5 right now you’re as welcome as anyone else :)
