Discover Buddhism
Sakya Buddhism & Meditation Bath
8pm - 11pm

Our new 10-week course on Parting from the Four Attachments is a step by step teaching compiled by the founding masters of the Sakya tradition. Starting Tuesday December 5th and running until mid-February 2018 it is suitable for newcomers and experienced practitioners alike. Led by long-standing students of Lama Jampa Thaye, sessions last around an hour. They start with 20 minutes of meditation to settle the mind, followed by a short talk comprising a part of these teachings.

The course is an introduction to Buddhist practices and the sessions are friendly and informal, with plenty of time for a chat and questions afterwards with tea and biscuits. A rational and questioning approach is encouraged, as the Buddha himself taught that Buddhism has little power to transform if you accept the teachings with unquestioning blind faith.

Each session will also work as a one-off if you just want to drop in occasionally.

Tuesdays 8pm to 9pm. £4/2concs.
All welcome!
