Breath of fresh air at Dyrham Park
Bath And District- Anything-goes Social Society
10:45am - 12:45pm

At the moment the forecast for Saturday is cold but sunny; perfect weather for a winter walk. Let's join one of the regular guided walks with a ranger to blow away the cobwebs and learn about what the herd are up to at this time of year. Walk is scheduled for 11am to 12:00. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue. Booking is not needed. Unfortunately dogs are not welcome at this event.

Then let's finish up with a nice warming drink and a cake (or lunch)

If the weather turns wet and nasty for Saturday; I will cancel the event.

There will be food so please RSVP if you plan to come along. You are welcome to come even for a short time during the day.

FREE Workshop: Creating Our World
Bath Meditation Group
2pm - 4pm

Our thoughts are the base upon which our inner world is created. When we learn to understand and master our thoughts, we take control of our inner world. This helps us to respond to people and situations in a more positive way. When our inner world is in harmony, we naturally promote harmony in the world around us.

This workshop presents an opportunity to acquire some practical methods to develop the art of thinking.

It will be facilitated by Michael McCarron who has a deep interest in spirituality and how it benefits the human condition. He enjoys a positive life balance of work, parenthood and organising and facilitating self-development classes and workshops.

• What to bring
Just yourselves and anyone else you think might be interested

The Bath & Bristol Everything Meetup Group
4pm - 6:30pm

Scotland v England... live on TV at 16.45 at the Lamb & Lion and.... a meal afterwards..???

If anyone would like to go for a meal after the game... please offer a suggestion as to what type of restaurant (Scottish (if they win) * Chinese * Indian * Thai * Nepalese * Italian * Other) they would like to visit and the one with the most votes is the one we shall visit (subject to availability).

Anyone who is attending this event and is planning to drive into Bath... please be aware that there is a Bath rugby home game on as well, with a 2.30pm kick-off, so parking will be severely restricted in Bath. In this instance, I suggest you park your car in the Bear Flat area (free parking) and walk down into town, (see map in photo's) it takes about 15-20mins.... or a bus from outside the Bear Pub to bus station for a £1 and takes 5mins.

If anyone is driving, as I live in Bear Flat, I could wait for you to arrive and we could walk or bus it down together... :-)

Friday Night Curry Night is Moving to Saturday Night
The Bath & Bristol Everything Meetup Group
7pm - 9:30pm

Friday night curry night is moving... to Saturday night... to follow the Scotland v England Six-Nation rugby match...

Several Meet-Up members are meeting-up at the Lamb & Lion in Bath, to watch the Scots try and beat the English... Hmmm!! I very much doubt it...!!

After the game, a few of us (circa 4/5, possibly a few more) are heading to the Eastern Eye for something hot & spicy... and even though you may not be interested in joining us to watch the rugby, you're more than welcome to join us for tackling the poppadoms, nan-breads, chill's and a spicy dish, if that's what you like.... or come join us for the rugby... even if your not a fan, the atmosphere and chatting to fellow meet-up members always seems to be a winner, even if Scotland won't be.....!! :-)
The Simmertones ska / reggae band joint w BBSingles
The Bath & Bristol Everything Meetup Group
7:30pm

Hi all buy your own ticket from the tunnels website www.thetunnelsbristol.co.uk
and meet inside. I'll put my number on the site closer to the time.

Simmertones are a seasoned nine-piece authentic ska and reggae band from the southwest of the UK who regularly get packed venues and festivals jumping with their exciting and infectious live sound. In 2016 The Simmertones' live shows reach new heights, with prestigious slots at the London International Ska Festival and Madness' House of Fun Weekender. It also saw the release of the poignant & topical single ‘Run For Your Life’, which has picked up regular international airplay and showcases the evolving strength and depth of the bands song writing. The Simmertones’ previous biggest hit to date was a cool cover version of the well-known classic 'Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps' (which contains samples of 'Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps' by Doris Day under licence from Sony Music Entertainment). This was hugely successful for the band, with repeated airplay on BBC radio stations. In particular, Steve Lamacq added the song to his playlist and gave it several airings, including prime time airplay on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. Further airplay was attained in the United States and internationally.

POSTPONED: FOOD, DRINKS, MUSIC and FUN
Bath Girls' Night Out Meetup
7:30pm - 10:30pm

PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO A FAMILY EMERGENCY My mobile no. [masked] feel free to call or text and also I hope you won’t mind but the dinner will be £5. Just a small contribution so I can afford to have everyone here. Water, wine, juice and pop will also be welcome. Hi everyone! New timers, Old timers and Fun timers.......
I’m really having a great time meeting people and forging friendships with such intelligent, successful and warm girls, I do hope you all are too!
At the end of the month on a Saturday night, I would be delighted to entertain at my home.
There is space for around 25-30 people, (not all seated) and if it’s agreeable could everyone bring a bottle of wine, and or a soft drink then I will be delighted to supply all the food like a buffet. At the moment I am thinking of serving Salmon of some sort, salad and new potatoes and a dessert probably a cake from Patisserie Valerie. When RSVPing would you be so kind as to communicate and tell me if you would like dinner as well - that way I won’t buy too much food. Just to blow my own horn, not to worry- I’m a pretty good cook! If I do say so myself!😁

I live in Central Bath in a ground floor flat at: 14, flat A, Camden Crescent, Lansdown, BA1 5HY.
For those who might be taking a train into Bath, there are buses 6 & 7 (at the main bus station next door to the train) which will drop you off literally, outside my flat (I can see the bus stop from my living room window) but if you need any further help/directions/information please let me know. I will say, parking can be tricky. Needing to pay for one’s parking ends at 7pm in this area. If a Saturday isn’t convenient and people would rather it be on a Friday/Saturday the first week in March, I welcome all feedback and suggestions. After all “Central Bath Girl’s Night Out & Bath Girls Night Out” is all of ours to enjoy and hopefully meet a new bestie or two! Lots of love Victoria 🍾🍾🍾
