6.45pm - Business coaching session with Dr. Maria C. Stafylarakis, UWE Bristol. Most of us, be it in our professional or personal lives, focus so intently on the tasks that need to get done, that we rarely stand back to reflect on how we are managing them or ourselves and we rarely assess the impact we’re having on others. This session will draw on frameworks from the leadership literature to examine how we can become more reflective and approach life purposefully, from a creative rather than reactive viewpoint. We will look at concepts such as emotional intelligence and how we can improve our personal effectiveness through greater self-awareness, self-confidence and self-belief. The emphasis is on providing you with a set of tools and ideas to help you think about who you are, how you are perceived and the impact you are having or want to have.
Maria is currently an Associate Director in External Engagement at UWE Bristol. A resourceful, creative and versatile leadership development specialist, she has delivered leadership development workshops and coached leaders across various industries and sectors and levels of seniority. She specialises in the use of emotional intelligence and various other psychometric tools and behavioural inventories, to help leaders reflect on their personal experience and enactment of leadership.
All are welcome to attend and participate. Tickets include Prosecco and canapes, and cost £15 each.
