Introduction to Modern Calligraphy- Bath
Eventbrite.co.uk
5pm - 7:30pm

Spend an evening with us learning the basics of modern calligraphy. Whether you're planning to address invitation envelopes, add something extra to your thank you cards, or just looking to learn a new hobby or skill, this beginner calligraphy class is for you! Pretty handwriting is not required in order to be good at calligraphy (trust me, my handwriting is atrocious). All you need to know is how to hold a pen. You will learn how to use a traditional dip pen and nib, mark making, letterforms, word formation and simple flourishing. All calligraphy materials (yours to keep!). Just bring your lovely selves! The class is intended for complete beginners so if you've never tried it before, you're in good hands!
Please note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. By purchasing this ticket, you agree to these terms and conditions. Pre-booking by purchasing a ticket here is necessary to attend. Please bring your email confirmation with you to class as a physical ticket will not be posted. In the unlikely event that the workshop is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Is Anxiety Consuming Your Life? Use These 5 Steps to Regain Control
Eventbrite.co.uk
7pm - 8pm

I’ve seen the same destructive cycle play out over and over again.
Like a bad movie playing on repeat.
Except it is very much real life and carries heavy consequences.
Over the last 3 years, I’ve watched so many professionals spend each day trapped in a neverending cycle of anxiety.
Putting out fires…
Worrying about their kids….
Stressed about their jobs and relationships…
Waiting for things to “magically change” so they can finally feel fulfilled, happy and successful.
Yet, all the while, the anxiety, stress and overwhelm is building and taking a dangerous toll on them.
Physically.
Mentally.
Frequent angry outbursts followed by rapid loss of energy, until...
The house of cards collapses.
Sound familiar?
Well, my clients are able to eliminate anxiety and sail through stress...
even when they’re in the middle of complete chaos…
Working some of the most stressful jobs on Earth…
All by using the step-by-step strategy I’ve developed.
They’ve learned (and you can too) how to…
Completely eliminate overwhelm, anger and worry...
Why anti-depressants, anxiety meds, and therapy actually make things worse and only expand the problems…
How to let go and finally release any of the painful baggage of the past like remorse, guilt and failure…
How to stop being consumed with worry over the unknown future...
AND...how to do ALL this while re-discovering joy and feeling FREE AGAIN for the first time in years!
They’ve learned this and you can too by watching this free masterclass where I share all the details and strategies…
Join me in this FREE Online masterclass where I share all the details and strategies… It will be well worth your time.

Long Running Events:

Parentalk
Eventbrite.co.uk
10th October - 21st November

Being a parent is one of life’s greatest joys, but it is also one of its biggest  challenges. There’s hardly a mum or dad on the face of the earth who, at times, is not overawed by the task of parenting and there’s no such thing as a perfect  parent.
Parentalk is for parents of children aged up to the early teenage years, giving you the opportunity to talk about   the day-to-day challenges you face, as well as sharing the things that are going well.
Among other things we will be able to discuss feeling inadequate as a parent; love; communication in your family; boundaries and battles; letting go etc etc.
So come along and join other imperfect parents on a Wednesday evening for coffee, homemade cakes and chat.
The course is brought to you by the Families Ministry of Holy Trinity Church Combe Down. Course co-ordinator Mrs Sharon Blair has years of experience in supporting families. She is joined by presenters Nicky Coutier and Rachel Stewart.
 Dates: All Wednesdays:
10th, 17th and 24th October and 7th, 14th and 21st November
Venue: Combe Down Primary School Hall
Time: 7.45pm

Pencil To Paint: Sep - Dec 2018
Eventbrite.co.uk
26th September - 5th December

“I think that painting today is pure intuition and luck.”
Francis Bacon on Matthew Smith (1909-1992)
For most of us, our relationship with art begins with a line. We take a pencil or a crayon and delineate our idea. In our enthusiasm, we may even attempt to colour it in. In the experience of many, that attempt leads only to disappointment. We know that a painting is more than just a coloured-in drawing, but how do we do it? What exactly is the difference?
This course explores the gulf between drawing and painting and then seeks to provide a bridge between the two disciplines. Beginning with simple pencil studies, we will then develop our work in both charcoal and ink, gaining confidence in our abilities, before embarking on five weeks of painting in bold colour.
This course is open to all-comers and is ideal for beginners or those who wish to take their art in a new direction.
The theme for this particular 10 week Pencil To Paint course will be 'still life' and we will look at how artists from Caravaggio to Cezanne used tonality, form and colour to compose their paintings.
Topics will include:
Mark-making
Line, measurement and proportion
Notān
Colour: theory and mixing
Tables and chairs and a roll of newsprint paper are provided. Please bring a drawing board, paper or pad and your preferred drawing media. Materials required for sessions using colour will be discussed nearer the time.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available for a small donation.

Wednesdays:  26 September; 03, 10, 17, 24 ,October; 07, 14, 21, 28 November; 05 December  - 10 x 1.5 hour sessions)
