Sunday Table Tennis.
The Bath & Bristol Everything Meetup Group
10:30am - 12:30pm

Table Tennis Sunday mornings once or twice a month - watch out for it!

Cost £5.00 each - we will get about one and a half hour's of play, maybe just over, but it's FREE parking.

Payment is to ME on the day.

You will need to bring:

• your own bat. We aren't at the sports centre, there are no bats generally available however, I do have three spares, if you need to borrow one leave a comment on here when you RSVP. Balls provided - covered by the charge made by me.

• Water to stay hydrated.

• Wear trainers

• The right change please. :-)

It's not about being the best, but to enjoy having a game so don't panic if you've never played before or are a beginner. There are one or two that can teach you the basic rules and shots of the game - just ask if you would like this help. The people that have been coming along for over two years now are mixed ability, all ages and good fun. You will be very welcome.

It's about having fun!

The table(s) are booked for 10.30 - 12.30 this has to include set up and putting away time, so please arrive promptly at 10.30am. Coffee and/or lunch afterwards at a nearby venue for those who want to stay on. We have to vacate the school promptly at 12.30pm having already packed away the tables so apologies in advance if I have to cut your game short.

I book and pay in advance. Please make sure that if you RSVP you come so that I am not out of pocket. Thank you.

I will limit numbers to a maximum of four more than tables booked so please be prepared to swap in and out and have some possible non playing time. I will swap people in regularly to minimise this.

Looking forward to it :-)

This is a popular event. Please respect others and change your RSVP to No if you find you cannot attend after all, especially if there are people waiting. Please do not simply not turn up, that prevents others from the opportunity to play and costs me personally. Thank you for your respect.

The route takes in Primrose Hill Community Wood, Beckford's Tower, Bath Racecourse, Prospect Style, Kelston Round Hill using the Cotswold Way and public footpaths / rights of way.
The c.20 mile panoramic views west, south and east take in the Severn bridges, the Mendips, Westbury White Horse and many parts of Bath.

Please wear walking boots / shoes as the ground is uneven and could be muddy in places.

Dogs are more than welcome and can be free to play for much of the walk BUT need to be under control in certain places.

If the weather forecast is rain the walk will be cancelled around 11am.

Western Civ #1: The First World War
Bath Western Civilisation Meetup
5pm - 7pm

Given that it is Remembrance Day, we shall be engaging in a general discussion on World War I. Its origins, its waging, its legacy...

Read, watch and listen to whatever you wish prior to the meeting. I shall have a list of questions to brainstorm and generally engage with.

Towards the end of the meetup we will end the questions and just have more of a social. Looking forward to seeing you all.
