Netwalking in Bath
Eventbrite.co.uk
11am - 1pm

“All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking” Fredrich Nietzsche
Join us to stretch your legs over lunch and head outside for a spot of networking in the great outdoors on Thursday 15th November 2018. Walk, talk and network along the banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal with fellow business owners and entrepeneurs. It's the perfect opportunity to reflect on your business or career, bounce ideas about with others, generate new strategies, develop new opportunities and draw inspiration from nature with the added bonus increasing your daily step count.
There will be a dedicated theme and the netwalk will be structured through a series of four questions to encourage conversation and explore different aspects of your business or career. Previous themes have included: Beyond Your Core Business, New Beginnings, Growth Mindset, The Social Media Maze and Change is the Only Constant.
Netwalkers will meet in the square (near to Graze Bar and Grillstock restaurant) next to Bath Spa Rail Station at 11am. The 4km route will take approximately an hour and climbs gently with stunning views over the city of Bath. After the walk there's the opportunity to continue to talk and network at Cafe au Lait opposite Bath Spa Rail Station (refreshments not included in ticket price).
Please be aware that there will be photos taken during the event that might be used for future advertising purposes. If you don't want to be photographed please let us know via email.
FAQs
What do others say about similar events?
“If only all networking could be this enjoyable; an informal yet professional approach". Verity Lacey, Architect, Bath
“A thoroughly enjoyable morning meeting like-minded business owners; enjoying the fresh air and exercise. Thank you”. Lynda Walker, Temple Spa
“Netwalking gives you time to talk to new contacts in a relaxing setting. A unique combination of networking and a nice morning out” Simon Tyler, Filmmaker, Highlight Media
How many tickets are available for each netwalk?
There is limited space with only fourteen tickets available. These restricted numbers creates the ideal group size and ensures safety is paramount.
When will the next netwalk take place?
Netwalks in the local area (Bath, Bradford on Avon and Devizes) take place approximately once a month in a different location and tickets are only available through eventbrite. Earlier netwalks will take place on Thursday 23rd August 2018 in Bradford on Avon (tickets available through Eventbrite) and Tuesday 23rd October in Devizes. Watch this space for further event details for the beginning of 2019.
What is the cancellation policy?
Netwalking tickets are non-refundable though it is possible to change the name and substitute a replacement. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend and the name of your replacement in advance.
What's included in my ticket price?
The netwalking ticket price includes a tasty culinary treat created by Masterchef Wafaa, event organisation, administration (5.91 GBP) and eventbrite booking fees (1.04 GBP). We are constantly reviewing our netwalking service and special "extras" to ensure each netwalk is a completely unqiue and enjoyable experience. Each netwalk is individually organised to avoid any joining or annual membership fees.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Little reminder that an element of common sense should always be applied before heading outside with consideration to the British weather. It's strongly recommended to check the weather the evening before and bring welly boots, umbrella, warm jacket, scarf, hat and water bottle.
Remember to bring along your business cards to exchange contact details with other netwalkers.
Netwalks are unfortunately unsuitable for babies, little people or dogs.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
If you have any questions or queries please drop us an email at:

Gallery Crawl and Latin American Lunch at Las Iguanas in Bath
Art Galleries And Exhibitions In Bristol & Bath

Held in stunning surrounds of The Baldwin Room on the second floor of The Ivy Brasserie, guests will be treated to champagne on arrival, mulled wine, canapés & cocktails, plus an open bar until 9.30pm; there will also be a few surprises on the night too.
It is also worth noting that the cities Christmas lights are being switched on at 5.30pm, which will only add to the festive atmosphere.

Come Dine With Me - Sardinian Evening
The Bath & Bristol Everything Meetup Group
7pm - 11pm

Ciao a tutti, I hope this finds you well and happy.

The Good Bear Cafe will be serving traditional 'Sardinian' food in their first 'Sardinian evening.

The menu is a surprise.... but it may well feature some of the typical breads, some seafood and perhaps a rabbit dish. However, they will be able to accommodate some special dietary requirements you may have (such as gluten intolerance), but perhaps will not be able to offer a full vegetarian or vegan menu.

The menu will include 4 courses including a welcome nibble of music
paper bread and home marinated olives and, as it is the first event of
this type, there will be a glass of Sardinian bubbly on arrival.

The price per person will be of £40.

Aim to arrive at the Good Bear Cafe at 7.00pm, (or join me from 6.00pm in the Bear Hotel for a pre-dinner tipple) with a view to dine at 7.30pm.

There will be a selection of Sardinian wines and drinks specially
selected to accompany your meal and you can purchase these on the
night.

This event is already fully booked and Meet-Up have just 8 places. You will be required to make full payment of the £40 up-front to secure your seat and if you have to drop-out, it's your responsibility to find a replacement, as no refunds will be given... but I will assist you... and no doubt there will be members on the waitlist for such a lovely event... as those of you who have attended the Malaysian evenings at the Cafe.

If your driving, there is limited parking to the rear of The Bear, in Bloomfield Avenue and if your using public transport, the number 3 or 4 bus from the bus station next to the railway station will get you to bus-stops at the Bear Hotel, a minutes walk to the Cafe.

Non vedo l'ora di vederti. :-)

Being a parent is one of life’s greatest joys, but it is also one of its biggest  challenges. There’s hardly a mum or dad on the face of the earth who, at times, is not overawed by the task of parenting and there’s no such thing as a perfect  parent.
Parentalk is for parents of children aged up to the early teenage years, giving you the opportunity to talk about   the day-to-day challenges you face, as well as sharing the things that are going well.
Among other things we will be able to discuss feeling inadequate as a parent; love; communication in your family; boundaries and battles; letting go etc etc.
So come along and join other imperfect parents on a Wednesday evening for coffee, homemade cakes and chat.
The course is brought to you by the Families Ministry of Holy Trinity Church Combe Down. Course co-ordinator Mrs Sharon Blair has years of experience in supporting families. She is joined by presenters Nicky Coutier and Rachel Stewart.

Pencil To Paint: Sep - Dec 2018
Eventbrite.co.uk
26th September - 5th December

“I think that painting today is pure intuition and luck.”
Francis Bacon on Matthew Smith (1909-1992)
For most of us, our relationship with art begins with a line. We take a pencil or a crayon and delineate our idea. In our enthusiasm, we may even attempt to colour it in. In the experience of many, that attempt leads only to disappointment. We know that a painting is more than just a coloured-in drawing, but how do we do it? What exactly is the difference?
This course explores the gulf between drawing and painting and then seeks to provide a bridge between the two disciplines. Beginning with simple pencil studies, we will then develop our work in both charcoal and ink, gaining confidence in our abilities, before embarking on five weeks of painting in bold colour.
This course is open to all-comers and is ideal for beginners or those who wish to take their art in a new direction.
The theme for this particular 10 week Pencil To Paint course will be 'still life' and we will look at how artists from Caravaggio to Cezanne used tonality, form and colour to compose their paintings.
Topics will include:
Mark-making
Line, measurement and proportion
Notān
Colour: theory and mixing
Tables and chairs and a roll of newsprint paper are provided. Please bring a drawing board, paper or pad and your preferred drawing media. Materials required for sessions using colour will be discussed nearer the time.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available for a small donation.
16:30 - 18:00
Wednesdays:  26 September; 03, 10, 17, 24 ,October; 07, 14, 21, 28 November; 05 December  - 10 x 1.5 hour sessions)
